ARAGO Consulting has developed ‘Budget-It’, the connector between SAP FI-FM and Concur Request to optimize budgeting

Unlike private companies, organizations governed by public law must ensure that they align a budget and resources allocated to projects well defined upstream. This is why SAP Concur users must be able to systematically request approval for an expense, whatever its nature (meals, transport, accommodation, etc.). Previously, these processes were done manually and could involve large amounts.

 

“With the Request module proposed by SAP Concur, organizations could already submit and approve mission orders. From now on, the connector between the SAP FI-FM (Funds Management) module and Concur Request, developed by ARAGO Consulting, allows data to be communicated between the two solutions transparently, and thus makes it possible to gain simplicity and fluidity in the management of mission orders and budgets”, explains Christian Ketterer, Senior Security and Technology Consultant at SAP Concur.

This connector is intended for more than 10,000 users of SAP Funds Management (FM), a sub-component of the SAP Finance (FI) module, available with SAP ECC, S/4 HANA and S/4 HANA Cloud, which supports companies in the management of their funds through optimized budgeting.

 

Budget-It is mainly aimed at organizations that need to keep double-entry book-keeping (budget accounting and general accounting). These are mainly public sector organizations but also private companies for which budget control is of strategic importance. ARAGO Consulting has already enabled an international NGO (operating in 22 countries) which has an average budget of 4 billion euros, to implement this connector and improve performance by automating its budgeting.
